- universal SW for PC, used for configuration and control of several types of devices 
- OS - W2000,XP and higher

- possible types of connection (communication *):
* via serial communication port (COM)
* using analog or ISDN modem
* over Ethernet - UDP protocol - used in local networks (LAN) - all connected devices are detected - also basic parameters are set (e.g. IP address)
* over Ethernet - TCP/IP protocol

- UNIMAN supports the functions and parameters settings which are common for several devices
- specific parameters of devices are set using Config files editor

Configuration modes(*):
* text - used to edit the configuration files
* graphic - DLL saved in device is used - parameters are set in graphical form - output: text file
